My name is Luke Klipp, and I am running for the San Francisco Democratic County Central Committee.

I believe that San Francisco needs new leadership. Our city is known for its stunning beauty, culture, entertainment, and willingness to challenge the status quo. And yet it continues to face an expanding housing crisis, an inefficient transit system, flagging nightlife, and the elimination of our middle class.

I am inspired to run by my generation who are making lives of their own. It was young people who invigorated San Francisco in the 1950's and again in the 1970's.  It was young people who brought a new spirit to the city in the 1990's, and it is young people who are a critical component to the city's ongoing vitality and competitive edge.

I believe that San Francisco can be a world leader in technology, alternative energy, creative housing solutions, and transportation systems. The fundamental question is whether we will have the leadership to make that happen.
